Gali būti vienas iš programų paketo arba interneto ↑svetainės komponentų. Tokios programos paprastai platinamos nemokamai. Reklamai pateikti naudoja įvairias priemones: ↑reklamjuostes, įdėtas į programos langą, reklamos ↑mygtukų juostas, ↑iškylančiuosius langus ir kt. Dalį ↑laikinai nemokamų programų galima priskirti prie reklamos programų. Kol jos rodo reklamą, jas galima naudoti nemokamai. Norint atsisakyti reklamos, reikia įsigyti programos licenciją.
